The latest updates on road maintenance are also available on the Public Works' Twitter feed (twitter.com/pub_works) and Facebook account (www.facebook.com/ColumbiaMissouriPublicWorks).
Motorists, and non-motorized transportation users, are encouraged to find alternate routes, if possible, and use caution when in the work zone. There is no parking on the street when work is under way.
The investment in maintenance of city streets this year is projected at just over one million dollars, paid for from the annual street department budget.
