Parks and Recreation Seeking Entertainment for Special Events

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Parks and Recreation is issuing a call for businesses, non-profit organizations and other groups interested in participating in 2016 events. The following events have booth spaces available, and are in search of entertainment. Fees may be associated with booths and vendors. Applications are available for those interested in booths or vending. Sponsor opportunities also available.

Family Fun Fests at Cosmo Park

Booths: must be family friendly and supply a game or activity for kids

Entertainers: including musicians, dancers, face painters, balloon artists and street/roaming performers.

Fests are held from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:

May 18 (theme: Be Kind, Be Healthy)

June 15 (theme: Explore Outdoors)

July 20 (theme: Fitness is Fun)

August 17 (theme: Around the World)

September 21 (theme: Creative Kids)

Fourth of July: Fire in the Sky

July 4, 6-9 p.m.

Flat Branch Park and Peace Park

Booths: Business booths, food vendors, retail and craft booths available

Entertainers: must be family friendly (bands and street performers)

Heritage Festival

September 18-19, 10 a.m.-5.p.m. each day

Nifong Park

Booths: Available for handmade crafts, food vendors, businesses, traditional artisans

Entertainers (must be roots / traditional): Seeking musicians, groups, dancers, sideshows, street/roaming performers.
