Benton Street closure for sewer tap replacement

UPDATED 3/3/2016: The closure is postponed until further notice.

The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced that starting Wednesday, March 2 at 7 a.m. Synergy Construction will be removing and replacing a sewer tap near 3 Benton St. This will result in a street closure on Benton Street between Jefferson Street and Jewell Avenue. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, March 10 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
