Search warrant leads to arrest in sexual assault case

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 2/19/16 at 2: p.m., officers arrested Joanthony Deaundre Johnson, 26, of Columbia in reference to a sexual assault investigation.

On 2/4/16 at approximately 5:42 p.m., Criminal Investigations Division detectives were made aware of a sexual assault investigation. During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Johnson's residence, 128 South Eighth Street. Detectives served the search warrant on 2/19/16 and made contact with Johnson at the residence. A search of the residence located evidence related to the sexual assault, as well as the following:

• Several highly concentrated hash oils
• Several hallucinogens
• A large bag of marijuana
• Several glass smoking devices 
• A digital scale
• Several small plastic baggies

Johnson was arrested for Rape in the First Degree with a bond to be set by the Court, Distribution/Delivery/Manufacture/Produce of a Controlled Substance with a bond to be set by the Court, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond of $500.00.
