On 1/26/16 at 8:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Morning Glory Drive in reference to shots fired.
Officers made contact with a 38-year-old male victim with a wound to his shoulder at the intersection of Garden Drive and I-70 Drive Northwest. The injury was consistent with being grazed by a bullet. The investigation revealed the victim and another male victim, 34, entered a vehicle that was parked in the area. While the victims were inside the vehicle, a suspect approached and fired at least one round through the window. The suspect proceeded to flee the area on foot in an eastbound direction. Officers recovered a bullet inside the vehicle, as well as a mask in a yard near where the vehicle was parked. The victim was treated for his injury on-scene. The second victim was not injured. The amount of property damage is unknown at this time and the investigation is on-going.
