The steady sunshine today has helped melt snow and ice quicker than expected and priority routes are in pretty good shape and residential areas are looking better.
Pavement temperatures will remain above freezing until 6:00 p.m. tonight allowing even more melting to occur. Roads have been treated with salt and our full day crew is continuing to plow priority roads and apply salt to trouble areas to fight melted snow from refreezing over night. A night crew will be on stand by to monitor for refreeze.
Parking enforcement on priority routes will be lifted this evening and vehicles can once again be parked along priority routes. We greatly appreciate customers' cooperation by moving their vehicles and allow the crews to plow the streets quickly.
A dusting of snow in the morning is not expected to amount to very much accumulation.
