Arrest made from home invasion robbery in the 1400 block of Grindstone Plaza Drive

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 1/15/16 at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers arrested Koran Spencer Ward, 19, of Columbia in reference to a home invasion robbery in the 1400 block of Grindstone Plaza Drive on 12/9/15.

During investigation of the incident, detectives were able to track stolen electronics to a residence in the 3500 block of Rock Quarry Road. Due to the nature of the original incident, in that the two suspects were both carrying firearms, members of the Columbia Police SWAT Team were asked to assist in serving a search warrant at 3576 Rock Quarry Road at approximately 3:56 p.m. on 1/15/16. During service of the search warrant, officers made contact with Ward, as well as three other occupants in the residence. Officers located some of the stolen electronics inside the home.

Detectives were able to connect Ward to the incident and he was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond and Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $4,500.00.
