Shots fired in the area of 900 I-70 Drive Southwest

On 1/7/16 at 11:27 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of I-70 Drive Southwest and Business Loop 70 West in reference to several reports of shots heard.

Upon arrival officers canvassed the area, however, were unable to locate any shell casings or physical evidence of shots being fired. Several witnesses advised seeing two male subjects walking near 900 I-70 Drive Southwest, Days Inn. The subjects engaged in a verbal altercation with an occupant(s) of a vehicle. During the altercation, both male subjects and the occupant(s) of the vehicle brandished firearms and began firing rounds at one another. The original vehicle fled the area and the two male subjects were seen entering a separate vehicle and fleeing the area prior to officer's arrival. There were no reported injuries or property damage at this time. The investigation is on-going.
