Officers arrested Alex Perez Tunstall, 27, and Donnette J. Patterson, 53, both of Columbia in connection to last night's shots fired near Fourth Avenue and Providence Road.
Officers responded to the area at 6:52 P.M. after multiple calls of shots fired. The investigation revealed a male suspect had fired several rounds at a male victim who was inside a vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. At approximately 9:33 P.M., officers located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Fourth Street. The traffic stop led officers to the suspect, Tunstall, who later admitted to shooting at the victim after a confrontation earlier in the evening. Detectives further determined Patterson drove Tunstall to the scene of the incident and then provided Tunstall a ride back to her residence after the incident. Patterson admitted she knew Tunstall had shot at the victim prior to giving him a ride back to her residence.
There were no injuries reported and the extent of property damage to the victim's vehicle is unknown at this time. Tunstall was arrested for Felony First Degree Assault with a to be set bond, Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond, and Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $4,500.00. Patterson was arrested on 12/9/15 at approximately 1:30 A.M. from CPD for Felony First Degree Assault with a to be set bond.
