Beginning on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:00 am, Columbia Public Works Street Division will install speed tables on College Park Dr at Oxford Dr, Princeton Dr, and Dartmouth. The work is scheduled to be completed, weather permitting, on Wednesday, September 30 at 3:00 PM.
The College Park Traffic Calming project was approved by council late this summer. The cost of the project is $24,000 and is funded by Traffic Safety Monies.Motorist can expect minor delays and some lane restrictions during the installation of the speed tables. Flagger will assist with traffic flow during lane restrictions.
Motorist and non-motorized transportation users should use caution in the work zones and find alternate routes when available.
Traffic calming measures have been requested by a number of neighborhoods and Public Works developed a Traffic Calming Guidebook to help identify traffic issues properly so that the proper solution can be presented, and to help prioritize traffic calming projects for council consideration.
The Traffic Calming Guidebook can be found at -

Final plans for each speed table are attached to this release.
