A contractor for the City of Columbia will begin installing a 6 foot wide sidewalk on the east side of Bernadette Drive between Ash St and Tiger Lane on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 am. The project is expected to be completed by mid-October 2015. The project will also include modifications to ADA sidewalk ramps.
The $64,000 investment in Columbia's infrastructure is funded by the Water & Light Enterprise Fund as part of the expansion project at the West Ash St Pump Station.
There will likely be some temporary lane closures during the course of the project. When lane closures are required, flaggers will direct traffic to maintain two-way traffic flow.
Motorist and non-motorized transportation users are urged to use caution in the work zone and find alternate routes if available.
