After responding to the Shots fired call in the 1300 block of Hickam Drive, Columbia Police Officers were called to two more reports of shots fired last night and into the early morning hours of 06/30/15. One incident involved a man receiving a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
On 06/29/15 at approximately 9:38 P.M. officers were dispatched to a local hospital emergency room in reference to a gunshot victim that arrived in a personal vehicle. Preliminary investigation revealed that the 22 year old male victim entered the hospital with a suspected bullet wound in the torso. Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detectives responded and are investigating the details of this incident. Information is incomplete at this time due to the serious condition of the victim.

On 06/30/15 at approximately 2:28 A.M. Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Providence Road and Worley Street. Responding officers located multiple cartridge casings in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue. Several black males were observed running from the area prior to police arriving on scene. No injuries have been reported from this incident at the time of this release. No other information is available for release at this time. We currently have no information indicating whether or not these shootings are related.
