Rain Barrel Sales Close Sunday at Midnight - Columbia Public Works Stormwater Education

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The deadline to order is near! Last chance in 2015!

With spring showers popping up, capture the rain water coming off of your roof and re-purpose it on your flowers and garden plants with an IVY or MOBY rain barrel.

The City of Columbia Public Works Department Stormwater Utility, in cooperation with Boone County and the University of Missouri, is again partnering with Rain Water Solutions to provide our customers with the opportunity to purchase a complete rain barrel kit at a greatly reduced price.

The kits are made in America out of 50% recycled materials. This year, there are two (2) sizes available. The Ivy, $65.00 (normally $129) , includes a 50 gallon rain barrel, a pre-plumbed quarter turn spigot to attach your garden hose, and overflow tubing. The Moby, $110 (normally $169), includes a 65 gallon rain barrel, a pre-plumbed brass spigot to attach your garden hose, and overflow tubing. A diverter kit is not required for installation and you can connect multiple rain barrels together to increase storage. Should you desire to use a diverter, kits are available during on-line ordering for $10.

You can see the product displayed at:

  • City Hall, 701 East Broadway, main lobby
