DETAILS OF INCIDENT:

Crash occurred when vehicle 1, a 2001 Lexus GS300, was traveling north on Mo 163 (Providence Rd) approaching Carter Ln and pedestrian 1 was crossing Mo 163 (Providence), in an easterly direction, at Carter Ln.  Driver of vehicle 1 did not see pedestrian 1 and struck pedestrian 1. 

Pedestrian 1 was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The pedestrian's name will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Impairment by drugs and/or alcohol by driver 1 are not a factor.  It is unknown, pending results/investigation from the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office, if pedestrian 1 was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
