The City of Columbia Public Works Department will host an interested parties meeting concerning the Shepard Blvd to Rollins St trail connection on Monday, January 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Shepard Blvd Elem School, 2616 Shepard Blvd, in the gymnasium.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed Shepard Blvd to Rollins St East-West Trail Connection project. The proposed trail is part of the city's non-motorized transportation pilot program. The City of Columbia has engaged TranSystems to conduct a study of various trail alignments to make this connection. A location map of the project is attached.
Construction of the project is anticipated to begin in 2017.
Information and diagrams showing the preliminary design concepts will be available for public review, and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions and accept feedback. Comment forms will be available. Your input will be considered as the design is developed.
If you are unable to attend the Interested Parties meeting, please contact Scott Bitterman, PE at 573-874-7250 or via email at [email protected]create new email
