CORRECTED - Trash and Recycling Bag Vouchers scheduled to arrive week of January 12

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

City of Columbia Solid Waste residential customers should begin receiving trash and recycling bag vouchers in the mail the week of January 12.

If customers have not received their bag vouchers by Monday, January 19, customers should call our contractor, WasteZero, at 1-800-866-3954.

The current mailing will contain two (2) vouchers for blue recycling bags and one (1) voucher for black refuse bags. There is no expiration date on the vouchers.

This year, customers will receive a total of two (2) vouchers for black refuse bags and three (3) vouchers for blue recycling bags annually. The next mailing in August will include one (1) recycling bag voucher and one (1) black refuse bag voucher. We will announce the dates of the August mailing in late July or early August.

Columbia Public Works - Solid Waste began collection of plastics 3-7 in addition to plastics 1 and 2 on Tuesday, January 6. If customers need additional blue bag vouchers due to the expanded collection of plastic recycling, customers should call our contractor, Waste Zero, at 1-800-866-3954 for additional blue bag vouchers at no charge.

Additional black refuse bags can be purchased at any of the locations below which redeem vouchers.
