Several Sidewalk and Road Projects the Week of November 17

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Beginning Monday, November 17 at 8:00 a.m., Reinhardt Construction will begin improvements to the Columbia College Soccer Field at the corner of Wilkes Boulevard and Rangeline Street.  The improvements will result in sidewalk closure between N 8th Street and Rangeline Street.  The work associated with the improvements should be completed by Monday, January 19 at 8:00 a.m. weather permitting.

Beginning Wednesday, November 19 at 7:00 a.m., Stockman Construction Corp. will begin to replace sidewalk along E Ash Street.  The replacement will result in a sidewalk closure on E Ash Street between N 7th Street and N 8th Street.  The work associated with the sidewalk closure should be completed by Friday, November 21 at 3:00 p.m. weather permitting.

Beginning Thursday, November 20 at 7:00 am., Columbia Public Works Street Department will begin crack seal maintenance on S Old Highway 63 between E Broadway and Stadium Boulevard. This will result in possible delays on S Old Highway 63.  The work associated with the crack seal maintenance should be completed by Friday, November 21 at 3:30 p.m. weather permitting.

Continuing on Monday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. Creek Enterprise, Inc. will begin to pull fiber optic cables through manholes on E Broadway between Old Highway 63 and Williams Street.  The fiber work will result in lane closures between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. each night on E Broadway.  The work associated with the fiber work should be completed by Thursday, November 18 at 4:00 a.m. weather permitting. This work was extended when a motor vehicle crash damaged work done the previous week.

Motorists and non-motorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
