Death Investigation In The 3400 Block of Woodrail Terrace

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

DEATH INVESTIGATION IN THE 3400 BLOCK OF WOODRAIL TERRACE

On 10/31/14 at 12:21 P.M., officers were dispatched to a report of a gunshot wound in the 3400 block of Woodrail Terrace.

The investigation revealed an adult female daughter went to the residence to check on her elderly parents. When the female went into the residence, she found her mother and father with injuries. The female daughter called 9-1-1.

Upon officers' arrival on Woodrail Terrace, Officers secured the residence and paramedics pronounced the female victim dead at the scene. The male subject was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for his injuries.  The cause of death to the female victim will not be released until the autopsy report from the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office is complete.  Officers did not locate any evidence of a gun used in the incident.

Detectives are at the scene investigating the circumstances of what happened at the residence today. Detectives do not believe they are looking for any suspects at this time.  More information will be released once it becomes available.
