On 10/27/14 at approximately 6:23 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Quail Drive in reference to shots fired.
Witnesses reported seeing a black male wearing a red shirt involved in the incident. In the 2500 block of Quail Drive, officers identified a male matching the description given by witnesses; the male was walking along the street with a white male, later identified as Jeffrey Nance. Upon officers approaching the males and advising them to stop, both of them fled on foot. Officers engaged in a foot pursuit and CPD canine was dispatched for a track.
Near the 2600 block of Quail Drive, canine warnings were received and Nance presented himself to officers. Nance was arrested for misdemeanor resisting arrest with a bond of $500.00.
Officers were unable to locate the black male wearing the red shirt during the pursuit.
Officers found cartridge casings in the area of the 2700 block of Quail Drive. There are currently no reports of anyone injured. The investigation is on-going and there is no further information at this time.
