BANK ROBBERY MISSOURI CREDIT UNION 3401 BUTTONWOOD DR

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 09/24/14, at approximately 5:02 p.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery at the Missouri Credit Union located at 3401 Buttonwood Drive.  Investigation revealed that two males, both wearing bandannas, entered the credit union and demanded money.  The suspects left the credit union with an undetermined amount of money and fled the area in a red four door Oldsmobile Alero.  No weapons were used in the robbery and no injuries were reported at the robbery scene.

A short time later a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Trooper located the suspect vehicle in the area of Discovery Parkway and Highway 63.  The Trooper began following the vehicle and a vehicle pursuit ensued.  The pursuit continued North on Highway 63 to Vandiver Drive.  The suspect vehicle lost control and spun out in a grassy area near Vandiver Drive and Parker.  The trooper was able to block the vehicle and took one suspect into custody near the vehicle.  The second suspect fled from the vehicle on foot and a foot pursuit ensued.  MSHP Troopers, with the assistance of the Boone County Sheriff's Department and Columbia Police Department, took the second suspect into custody near Garnet and Parker.

Representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) responded to the robbery location and are working with the Columbia Police Department to further investigate this incident.

This is preliminary information.  Two suspects are in police custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing.  Any additional information regarding this incident will be provided in a Media Release Update.  No further information is available at this time.
