Arrest Made In Shots Fired On Needham Court

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

ARREST MADE FROM SHOTS FIRED ON NEEDHAM COURT

On 9/11/14 at 1:46 P.M., officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 4300 block of Needham Court.  The investigation revealed the female victim, age 18, arranged to meet Thomas Kim at Bethel Park for a drug deal. Kim walked up to the victim while she was sitting in her vehicle and fired a shot with a handgun. The victim was not injured and Kim took off running on foot from the area.

 The victim followed Kim in her vehicle and saw Kim get into a black car driven by an unknown person. The victim followed the black car to Needham Court, where the driver of the black car fired several more shots at her with a handgun, striking her vehicle once.  Officers located the victim's vehicle and confirmed her vehicle had been struck by a bullet on the driver's side above the windshield. Officers also located a spent shell casing on Needham Court.

 Officers located Kim and the juvenile male driver of the black vehicle, age 16, at 8:50 P.M. near Fall River and South Hampton Drive. Officers recovered the handgun which had been reported stolen. Kim was planning to rob the female victim. Kim was arrested for Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree with a bond of $4,500.00, receiving stolen property felony with a bond of $4,500.00, Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond, and Unlawful Use of Weapons Felony with a bond of $4,500.00. 

  

The 16 year old male juvenile was taken into custody for juvenile delinquency; possess cigarettes or tobacco under 18 years old, possession of controlled substance less than 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of weapons felony and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
