COMO Connect is pleased to announce they will be fully launching the 8 Light Green bus route in southwest Columbia to service additional customers along Scott Boulevard and Vawter School Road. The Light Green route was part of a full system overhaul that launched a whole new network of bus routes throughout the city, but up until now, the route has been missing a significant new service area due to construction and road improvement projects along a critical leg of the route. As the Scott/Vawter School intersection unveils a brand new round-about and reopens to traffic this evening, COMO Connect buses will be free to travel the originally designed Light Green route along Vawter School Road starting tomorrow morning at 6:30am. The use of this entire route will have significant changes to public transit in the southwest corner of Columbia, including additional connections with the 7 Dark Green route along Forum Boulevard.
Customers can review the 8 Light Green route on the COMO Connect website at www.COMOconnect.org and track their bus in real-time on the free DoubleMap app or website.
