Parks and Recreation Presents Last Family Fun Fest of 2014

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

"Creative Kids" will be the theme of the last Family Fun Fest of 2014. Parks and Recreation is partnering with the City's Office of Cultural Affairs to hold the free event from 6 to 8 p.m. on September 17 at Flat Branch Park.

                              

Don't miss stage entertainment plus interactive activities for children. Performing art includes:

Stage

6 p.m.  TRYPS Institute at Stephens College sing-a-long

6:30 p.m.  Missouri Contemporary Ballet lecture demonstration

7:20 p.m.  Babaloo Music & Fun

Local organizations will be providing crafts and art activities including:

Mid-Missouri Woodcarvers- Soap carving

Columbia Art League- Paper Lanterns

Columbia Parks and Recreation- Shaving Cream Art

Daniel Boone Regional Library - Craft

Access Arts

Columbia CARE Program

Face Painting

The Creative Kids event is made possible with financial support from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.

The Family Fun Fests have been sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5, KOMU TV8, and Rockin Rents Inflatables.
