Core COMO Connect Route Back on Track Monday

COMO Connect customers and staff are excited about the reopening of the Route B/Paris Road Bridge over Business Loop 70 today because that means one of the main arterial bus routes can return to its normal route next week and hopefully save customers a little time.

The 2 Gold route, a core connector route in the new COMO Connect bus system, has been detouring the bridge construction area since the system launched back on August 4^th. Using Hathman Place as a detour to navigate the closed bridge has added additional time and length to the bus's route and caused pretty significant obstacles for this bus staying on schedule and connecting customers to other routes. An additional road closure on Rollins has also affected the 2 Gold route near MU campus this week and its simultaneous reopening will help the route return to schedule as well. Both detours are scheduled to be eliminated from the route starting Monday morning as the bus returns to its normal scheduled route.

COMO Connect staff is glad that the newly reopened bridge and the reopening of East Rollins will speed up service for customers on this route and will be monitoring the route closely during the adjustment.

COMO Connect encourages customers to review the posted schedules for this route and anticipate the buses to keep closer to the posted times than was possible while the detour was in place.
