The City is hosting a COMO Connect launch party this Saturday to celebrate the beginning of the new COMO Connect bus system, officially starting Monday August 4th. The celebration will be an outdoor family-friendly event with free food and beverages, prizes, crafts for the kids, music, and lots of great information about the new transportation options in Columbia. There will be an official Columbia Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting at 11am, and the information bus will be on-site to pass out maps and offer one-on-one trip planning for customers. Current and future customers of public transit are welcome to attend to learn a little more about the benefits of riding transit and familiarize themselves with the new routes. Join us on Saturday from 10am-12pm on Rollins Street in front of the MU Student Center. Free parking will be available just steps away on the first three levels of the Virginia Avenue parking garage, just south of Rollins.
