ARMED ROBBERY 3216 CLARK LANE-SUPER 8 MOTEL

On 07/19/14 at approximately 1927 hours, officers were dispatched to 3216 Clark Lane, the Super 8 Motel, in reference to an armed robbery in progress.  The suspect walked up to the check-in counter, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the employee.  The suspect removed an undetermined amount of cash from the register and then fled the scene.

 The suspect was described as a black male, possibly in his 20's, slender build, having his face partially covered.  No one was injured in the robbery and the suspect is still at large.

 The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) has been contacted and the investigation is ongoing.  No further information is available at this time.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (573)875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
