The closure of Clark Lane between Robert Ray Drive and Ballenger Lane will be delayed one (1) day due to weather concerns. The closure will now begin on Tuesday, July 15 at 7:00 am. The roadway is scheduled to reopen to traffic by Tuesday, July 22 at 5:00 pm.
With rain in the forecast for Sunday and Monday, and a strict number of days the contractor can close the road, the contractor asked for and was granted a delay in the closure.
We still urge motorists and non-motorized transportation users to find and use alternate routes as soon as possible.
The project will construct shoulders along Clark Lane for non-motorized use and the existing roadway will be overlayed with a new driving/biking/walking surface.
The project's total cost is $1,146,097 with the funding sources for the project coming from a combination of the one-quarter cent Capital Improvements Sales Tax approved by voters in 2005 and MoDOT monies.
