TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS OVERNIGHT
On 7/3/14 at 8:15 P.M., officers were dispatched to a shots fired at the intersection of Garth Avenue and Oak Street. After the original dispatch, a gunshot victim had been brought to a local hospital by personal vehicle. Officers arrived at the hospital to find a male victim, age 39, with non-life threatening injuries. There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.

On 7/4/14 at 12:34 A.M., officers were dispatched to multiple reports of shots fired at the intersection of Worley Street and McBaine Avenue. Witnesses advised three males were standing at the intersection when they were approached by two black males who started shooting at the males standing at the intersection. All of the subjects fled the scene on foot prior to officer's arrival at the intersection. At this time, officers have no information that anyone was injured during the shots fired. There was a parked vehicle and an occupied residence struck by bullets fired from the suspects. Officers located over twenty spent shell casings in the intersection.
The only suspect information at this time is two black males and the investigation is ongoing. Officers have no information at this time that these two incidents are related.
