Beginning Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 7:00 am, J.C. Industries, Inc. will begin Phase III on the Downtown Ramps project. This phase of the project will consist of pedestrian crosswalk and ADA ramp improvements at the intersection's of Seventh Street and Elm Street. The project is funded by Community Development Block Grant with a total project cost of $97,776.50. This work will result in temporary road closing of the north side of the intersection of Seventh Street and Elm Street. Motorists and pedestrians will be able to access Seventh Street from Locust Street. The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday July 15, 2014, weather permitting.
Motorists and non-motorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
