On 06/25/14 at approximately 2013 hours, Columbia Police Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 5300 block of Currituck Lane. 3-4 black male suspects reportedly exited a white sedan and fired multiple shots at subjects standing in front of a residence in the 5300 block of Currituck Lane. Two of the potential victims returned gun fire at the individuals shooting at them. The suspects drove away from the area in the white sedan. Cartridge casings were located in the area.
No injuries have been reported at the time of this release. At least one residence and one vehicle, in the 5300 block of Currituck Lane, were identified as being damaged due to the gunfire.
Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Evidence Unit were contacted and are working the case.
No further descriptions of suspects or vehicle are available at this time.
