Two Separate Incidents Overnight

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS OVERNIGHT

On 6/11/14 at 1:24 A.M., officers were dispatched to a Robbery with shots fired in the 2900 block of Northland Drive.  The investigation revealed a male victim was in the parking lot of the complex when he was approached by two black males. During the struggle, two shots were fired and one of the suspects struck the victim in the head with a pistol. The victim was able to flee to get help and the suspects left the area in two separate vehicles. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.  The victim was not struck by a bullet. There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

On 6/11/14 at 3:02 A.M., officers were dispatched to a burglary in the 2400 block of Nifong Boulevard. The investigation revealed a white male suspect had broken into the above address and physically assaulted the female victim.  It is believed the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked window. The male suspect entered the female victim's bedroom, shined a flashlight in her face and left the room. The victim went to investigate, she opened her bedroom door and the suspect punched her in the face. The suspect fled the residence through the front door. There was nothing reported stolen and the victim received minor injuries. The suspect is described as a white male, college aged, around 6'0 tall, and last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and cargo shorts. A canine track was attempted but no one was located.  There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.
