Lane striping to begin on Tuesday, April 22 - weather permiting - various streets

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Beginning Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00 a.m., Columbia Public Works Street Department will begin lane striping on Creasy Springs Road, Blackfoot Road, Brown School Road, Blue Ridge Road, N Providence Road (Vandiver to Smiley), Primrose Drive, Brown Station Road, Oakland Gravel Road, and Vandiver Drive. The work associated with the lane striping should be completed by Friday, May 2 at 5:00 p.m.  All work is dependent on weather and striping will not be performed in the event of rain.

Motorist are asked not to cross over freshly painted lines and to stay back 500 feet from the striping equipment.

Motorists and non-motorized transportation are also urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
