Shooting On West Worley

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

                                  SHOOTING ON WEST WORLEY


The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on 4/12/14 at
9:05 P.M. in the 300 block of West Worley Street.


Officers were originally dispatched to a shots fired in that area. Joint Communications
advised there maybe one victim of the shots fired. When officers arrived on scene
they were unable to locate a victim so they had Joint Communications contact all local
hospitals of a possible gunshot victim.


Officers were notified at 9:25 P.M. by a local hospital of an 18 year old black male
with a gunshot wound in the emergency room brought in by personal vehicle. The
investigation revealed the victim was sitting in his vehicle when he was struck by a
bullet. The victim had a non-life threatening injury.


The only suspect information at the time was a grey Chevrolet Impala occupied by four
black males with dreadlocks. The grey Chevrolet Impala was located unoccupied with
multiple bullet holes in the vehicle.


The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released once it becomes
available. If anyone has any information regarding this case please call the Columbia
