Columbia Parks and Recreation is offering two opportunities for the public to provide input on the development of Norma Sutherland Smith Park.
The first drop-in meeting will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on February 11 in the media center at Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School (5801 Arbor Pointe Pkwy). The second meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on February 20 at the ARC (1701 W. Ash).
The proposed project is to begin development of the first phase of the 50-acre park located off of Waco Road and Brown Station Road. Interested parties may comment on the plans; staff will be available to answer questions. The new park will be similar in size and scope to Cosmo-Bethel Park.
The project will be funded by the Park Sales Tax, approved by voters in November 2010.
For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 874-7460.
