ARREST OVERNIGHT ON AN ASSAULT WITH A KNIFE ON LESLIE LANE
Columbia Police Officers arrested Keenan T. Moore, 20, from Columbia, at 1:15 A.M. on January 24, 2014, for Assault in the First Degree with a to be set bond, Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $4,500.00.
Officers were dispatched on 1/23/14 at 10:47 P.M. to the University of Missouri Hospital Emergency Room for a subject with a knife wound. The investigation revealed the male victim, Brandon R. Lewis, 29, from Columbia, Missouri was taken by personal vehicle to the emergency room for a knife wound to his back. Witnesses were contacted at the hospital and advised Moore and Lewis had been drinking and where in a verbal argument throughout the evening at 108 Leslie Lane. Witnesses said Moore and Lewis started fighting and Moore pulled out a knife and assaulted Lewis with the knife at around 9:00 P.M. Witnesses advised Moore was left at the residence on Leslie Lane when they took Lewis to the hospital.
Officers were given permission to enter the residence and Moore was arrested at that time without incident. Lewis underwent surgery and is now in serious but stable condition with what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury.
