Columbia Police Investigate Report Of An Armed Robbery

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

         COLUMBIA POLICE INVESTIGATE REPORT OF AN ARMED ROBBERY


On 01-23-14, at 2:34 P.M., officers were dispatched to 52 North Cedar Lake Drive East in reference to an armed robbery. The victims, a male and female both 18 years of age, reported they were home at approximately 10:00 A.M. when they heard a knock at the door. The victims reported 2 suspects forced their way in and were armed with a handgun. The male victim was assaulted and the suspects demanded money. After getting an
undisclosed amount of money the suspects left. The victims were not injured. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.


Preliminary suspect descriptions:
• Suspect 1-black male, 5'10", 250 pounds, armed with a handgun.
• Suspect 2-black male, 5'10", 150 pounds.
