Columbia Transit is moving a downtown FastCAT bus stop from Walnut and Orr Street a half block to Walnut and 10th Street effective Monday, January 6th, 2014. The downtown 107FastCAT bus route uses this stop for customers to transfer to other city-wide routes at the Wabash Station. The new bus stop location will be closer to the station and offer a shorter walk for customers needing to transfer.
Customers will be notified on the city's website, social media, and the free DoubleMap bus-tracking app of the minor change. Columbia Transit staff and bus drivers will also help customers with the adjustment as well. The FastCAT bus route will still go by the old bus stop location at Orr Street, but customers are asked to abide by Columbia Transit's safety guidelines and only board at official bus stop locations.
