Columbia Transit is running on the Emergency Weather Schedule today due to winter weather and slick road conditions. The Emergency Weather Schedule covers the normal routes and stops, but with an estimated 60 minute headway for each route instead of the normal 40 minutes. Buses will leave the Wabash Station on the top of every hour, and leave their route end points on the half hour. Delays are possible.
Dangerous road conditions in some areas are also causing slight detours on some of the routes until road conditions improve and buses can safely travel their normal routes.
102 North Detour: Buses can not travel down Leslie Lane between North Providence and Garth Ave. Buses will be slightly detoured to Texas Ave to the south in this area.
102 East Detour: road conditions in the Indian Hills area are preventing buses from safely reaching bus stops in that neighborhood, so customers can catch the bus at Ballenger Lane and Aztec Blvd where buses are making pick ups.
101 North Detour: Buses can not reach Oakland Place and Edris Drive so customers can catch the bus at Oakland Gravel Road and Blueridge Road where buses are making pick ups.
Staff is constantly monitoring road conditions and weather today.
Customers can get up to date information and rider alerts on the city website www.gocolumbiamo.com/PublicWorks/Transportation/ , on the free real-time bus tracker DoubleMap app, or on Columbia Transit's Facebook or Twitter pages.
