UPDATE-SUSPECT ARRESTED IN REDWOOD ROAD ASSAULT, CASE 2013-014758

Columbia Police Department detectives have arrested Jason Robert Davis, 31, of Ashtabula Ohio, for the First Degree Assault and Robbery on Redwood Road which occurred this morning.  Davis was located and detained by officers of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Lafayette County Sheriff Department at approximately 10:40 A.M. along I-70.  Davis had stolen a Silver 2013 Dodge Journey from the victim and ran out of gas on I-70.  The officers were able to locate Davis in the area and took him into custody.  Davis was also in possession of the victim's cell phone when he was arrested. 

Columbia Police Department detectives transported Davis back to Columbia where he has been arrested for the following charges:

First Degree Assault, to be set bond

Robbery in the First Degree, to be set bond

Armed Criminal Action, to be set bond

Tampering with a Witness-Felony, $4,500.00 bondT
