The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning Monday, August 5, at 8:00 a.m. Summit Mechanical will begin excavation for installation of a sanitary sewer lateral and sewer connection and a water service connection for a commercial property at 504 Fay Street. This work will result in a road closure at 504 Fay Street. The work should be completed and the road fully reopened by Tuesday, August 20, 2013, by 8:0 0 a.m.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route.
