Arrest Made In Shots Fired At Douglass Park
On 8/29/13 at 6:45 P.M., the Columbia Police Department Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Moberly Police Department and the U.S. Marshall's Service arrested the suspect in the shots fired reported in Douglass Park on August 21, 2013.
Walter Lee Ricketts Jr., 30, was arrested in the 400 block of Reed Street in Moberly Missouri for Armed Criminal Acton and Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $200,000.00. Ricketts was transported and released to the Boone County Jail. A mugshot is not available at this time.
This is the original press release: On 08-21-13, at 6:18 P.M., officers were dispatched to 400 Providence Road North, Douglass Park, in reference to several calls of shots being fired. Officers arrived at 6:20 P.M. and found no persons involved in a disturbance. Officers located shell casing in the parking lot. There are no reported injuries or people hit by gunfire. The incident is under investigation and there are no further details at this time.
