The City of Columbia Public Works Department will host a interested parties meeting in the form of an informal open house concerning a proposed sidewalk project on the east side of Garth Ave between Parkade Blvd and Leslie Ln. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Parkade Elementary School's Media Center, 111 Parkade Blvd.
The purpose of the meeting is to present design concepts for the sidewalk along the east side of Garth Av and the crosswalk at Parkade Blvd and Garth Ave. Information and diagrams will be available as will city staff to answer questions. Public comments forms will be available.
Construction of the project, if approved, would occur in 2014. The estimated project cost is $294,000 funded through Federal Transportation Enhancement funds and the Annual Sidewalk construction budget.
