The Columbia Public Works Department will host an interested parties meeting in the form of an open house to present information and drawings on the proposed Ashland Road Sidewalk Project, consisting of sidewalks on Ashland Road between Stadium Blvd and East Campus Loop Drive.
The meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 9 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Shepard Blvd Elementary School, 2616 Shepard Blvd, in the media center.
The project consists of 990 linear feet of six foot wide sidewalk on the east side of Ashland Road between East Campus Loop Drive and Stadium Blvd (Rt 740). The project also includes improvements to the Ashland Road and Stadium Blvd intersection to improve safety for cyclist and pedestrian crossing. The project cost is estitmated at $256,000. Eligible funding sources include the Annual Sidewalk Capital fund and the Transportation Sales Tax.
City staff will be on hand to answer questions and recieve input. A public comment form will also be available.
