The City of Columbia, Home Depot, and Mid-MO Recyling will co-host an electronic waste collection event on the parking lot of Home Depot at 3215 Clark Lane on Saturday, August 17 from 9:00 am to noon.
Most items will be collected at no charge, although some items will incur a small fee for disposal.
Examples of items (working or not) collected at no charge:

- Printers
- Keyboards
- Computer mice
- Laptops
- Hard drives
- Wire
- Cell phone
- Pagers
- Washing Machines
- Stoves
- Radios
- Scanners
- Speakers
- VCR's
- DVD's
- Telephones
- Cables
- Fax machines
- Answering machines
- Dryers
- Stereos
- Satellite dishes
- Car batteries
Example of items which require a small fee:
- Monitors $5.00
- Microwaves $5.00
- Portable TV's $10.00
- Console TV's $20.00
- Copiers $25.00
If you wish for a hard drive to be destroyed, there is a $5.00 charge if the hard drive is removed from the computer, or a $10 charge to remove and destroy the hard drive.
