The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning today, Tuesday, July 23, City Water & Light Department crews will begin work remove and replace sections of water
main along Rangeline Street between Business Loop 70 and Wilkes Blvd., and on North Blvd. This work will take place in three phases.
Phase 1 will restrict Rangeline Street to one lane between Business Loop 70 and Wilkes Blvd., and is
scheduled to take place between July 23 and July 31.
Phase 2 will close southbound Rangeline Street south of Business Loop 70; southbound traffic will be detoured to North Blvd., and is scheduled to take place July 31 to August 7.
Phase 3 will close North Blvd. between Eighth Street and Rangeline Street between August 7 and August 9.
Motorists, cyclist and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
We are awaiting word and will advise in a separate release, any impact to Columbia Transit routes and stops.
