Police Arrest Suspect in Two Burglaries
On 05/01/2011 around 2:37 a.m. officers were dispatched to 2401 W. Broadway, Gatehouse Apartments, for a burglary that had just occurred. Officers spoke with the 16 year old female victim who told them she had been asleep in bed and was awakened by a man putting his arm around her and touching her. The victim screamed at the man and he ran from the apartment. The victim described the man as Hispanic male, small build, wearing a white hat.
At approximately 4:06 am officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at 2400 W. Broadway. Officers quickly arrived and searched the residence where they located 20 year old Juan Daniel Calvo-Espinosa hiding in a bedroom. Calvo –Espinosa matched the description of the man from the earlier burglary at Gatehouse Apartments.
