COLUMBIA POLICE MAKE TWO ARRESTS AFTER FOOT PURSUIT.
On 07-03-13, at 3:16 P.M., plain clothes officers of the Columbia Police Department observed two subjects in a vehicle acting suspiciously in a parked vehicle near Benton St and Garth Av. North. The two subjects saw the officers and tried to evade them in a vehicle. The subjects then ran on foot after stopping their vehicle in the 700 Block of Ridgeway Ave. The officers gave chase and were able to catch the two suspects who were arrested on numerous charges.
Arrested in the 800 Block of Again St. was Rockus D Roland, 23. He was arrested for Felony Distribution and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (to be set bond), Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance ($500.00 bond), 2nd Degree Property Damage ($500.00 bond), Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest ($500.00 bond), and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ($4,500.00 bond).
Arrested in the area of Donnelly Av. and Clayton St. was Denzell L. Smith, 22. Smith was arrested for the Felony Distribution and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (to be set bond), Felony Resisting Arrest ($4,500.00 bond), a no bond P&P Warrant, and 3rd Degree Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer ($500.00 bond).
