The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning Monday, May 6, at 7:00 a.m. Trittenbach Construction will begin work to install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water
lines to serve the building at 1224 E. Walnut St.
This work will result in a road closure on Walnut Street between Hubbell Drive and N. College Ave. The work should be completed and the road fully reopened Sunday, May 12 by 5:00p.m. weather permitting.
Motorists, cyclist and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when around the construction area. Columbia Transit buses will also be operating on detour routes during the road closure. Information specific to Transit will be release under a separate notice.
