Columbia Regional Airport is excited to announce the arrival of American Airlines with direct daily flights from Columbia Regional Airport (COU) to Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago O'Hare beginning on Thursday, February 14.
American Airlines will offer two daily flights from COU to Dallas/Fort Worth, 6:45 am and 5:40 PM, and one daily flight to Chicago O'Hare at 1:55 PM. On Sundays, the 6:45 am flight to Dallas/Fort Worth will not be available.
The Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago O'Hare destinations, have long been on the most desired destination list of travellers in mid-Missouri. From either of these two destinations, you can fly to hundreds of cities in dozens of countries around the world.
Chicago O'Hare International Airport is one of America's best-connected airports and for many years was the busiest airport in the US. Over 70 million travelers a year pass through Chicago O'Hare International Airport which was voted "Best Airport in North America" in 2000 by international travelers surveyed in Business Travelers Magazine. In 2009, Chicago O'Hare received the Global Traveler Award for "Best Airport in North America" for the tenth consecutive year.
Dallas Forth Worth International Airport is the main hub for American Airlines. DFW offers nearly 1,900 flights per day and serves over 57 million travelers every year. Ranked as the third busiest airport in the world, DFW was rated as "Best Customer Service in North America" by an Airports Council International survey in 2006 and 2007. Dallas/Fort Worth provides non-stop service to 135 domestic and 38 international destinations worldwide.
In anticipation of a new air carrier and new destinations, Columbia Regional Airport recently redesigned the FlyMidMo.com website to reflect new flight schedules, airline information, and other customer services such as the "Savings" calculator. We encourage travellers to use the cost savings calculator to see if the base ticket price flying from St. Louis or Kansas City is truly a better deal.
